It's been F*O*R*E*V*E*R since we've gone anywhere. At least it feels that way. I need a break from the routine. And definitely from this heat! It's making me a bit restless, feeling like I'm stuck indoors 'til the sun goes down.
I know I shouldn't complain. I know I have it really good.

It's not vacation, but at least we might be getting some rain this weekend! When we are feeling restless, we take a picnic and spend the day at Mt. Charleston. It is like 20 degrees cooler and the kids can run around.
Ahhh... I like Karen's idea! We're here in Vegas for a week, and although I don't like the heat I am so not missing the millions of bugs that are everywhere in Utah. We miss you all, and hope all is well in Southern Highlands!
